"This comedy follows the raging hormones of four teenage boys and their girls as they gear up for the most important night of their lives…the prom?"
Keeping up with movies in 'America' in the title, since I'm feeling oh-so-patriotic, I thought it would be nice to watch a movie I haven't seen since high school. And, boy, was I pleasantly surprised and laughing my ass off. The great thing about this film is that it's still FILM, modern and has that John Hughes vibe. What killed me, is that the ADR is so crisp and clear that it's pretty much bad--as the vocals are pulled too much in front of the ambient sound.
Overall, it was great to watch something that invited old memories of high school. For the millennials, this coming-of-age movie is filled with great fun, laughs and heartfelt moments. For anyone who didn't grow up in the early 2000's and wants to get an idea of what it was like, I recommend this piece of pie.
